Control Cannot be edited, it's data source has no current record. - FORM

Hi,

We have a database which is a comprised of a Front End, for data entry and a back-end which contains all the data and tables.

Recently we have had a issue with one of the front end forms coming up with the error in the status bar with "Control Cannot be edited, it's data source has no current record" when you select any of the items in the drop down menu for the form field. Have checked all the settings and nothing seems amiss, that I can see.

The other issue is that the "detail" section of the form is also blank, where it should contain another set of input data fields.

The options selected are right so think it is something to do with the form itself.

Running Access 2007 but the fault exists in the latest version as well, if I switch.

Have you checked that the Form is linked to the correct Record Source?

I would probably try 1) make a backup of the DB now 2) re-import the form from the most recent backup (besides the one you just made). Possibly just replace the whole Front End DB with a restore from a backup.
