Convert Date into another format

I am downloading data from my company system for Fiscal year 2017. The information for February comes back as 17-Feb. THe issue is excel reads this as 2/17/2016. I need to convert the format so that it reads as Feb 17. How can I do this?

Try =TEXT(A1,"mmm-yy") if date is in A1, for example
