Convert number into hours and minutes

Hey all,

I downloaded some data today and the hours and mintues were in the form

xxxx e.g. 1150 for 11:50 UTC

Is is possible to change them into normal number format?

I'm having similar trouble with the date, which is given as 20100101 for the first of Jan 2010

Try these...

For the time:

=--TEXT(A1,"00\:00")

Format as Time

For the date:

=--TEXT(A1,"0000-00-00")

Format as Date

VoG yours was fine but my data has double and triple figure digit like 00, 50, 130 etc. which didn't work with your forumla.
