Hi

I have a copy and paste special formula for some rows but when I clear contents on row im copying from the copy and paste special dissappears too.

Is there anyway to save it or have I got to reinput the formulas via macro every time I clear contents?

Excel Facts

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
There are many different options for "Paste Special", so you need to be more forthcoming with those details.
It would probably be most helpful if you explain in detail exactly what your data looks like, what you are doing, and what you want to happen.

Please find enclosed the workbook.

I put data into cell C14 for arguments sake. This then copies and pastes value in C33 via copy and paste link.

When I go to clear contents of C14 it clears it from C33 too of which is correct but when I put new data in it dont paste in C33

It does for me.

I put "123" in cell C14, and it put "123" in cell C33.
I deleted "123" from cell C14, and it cleared the value in cell C33.
I then put "456" in cell C14, and it put "456" in cell C33.

So it all seems to be working as it should.
Is it not doing this for you?
What values exactly are you entering in?

That’s exactly what’s happening to me too until I clear contents on cell C14 using clear contents command by right clicking.

Do I I need to reinput via macro every time I clear contents?

Nope, I cannot reproduce that behavior.

Are you sure that you aren't "clearing contents" on cell C33 and not cell C14?
Clearing the contents on cell C14 should not affect the formula in cell C33 (and doesn't for me).

Solution
I had set up a macro to clear the screens and then realised that I was clear screens too on the area where it was paste special to. DOH
