Hello,

I have a protected sheet with some instructions, that I don't want any user to change.

Is it possible to somehow set, that the user would be albe to copy a part of text, not the whole cell (I know that this can be done), when the sheet is protected?

For example:
Cell A1 contains Text: "Post a small Excel sheet (not a picture) showing realistic & representative sample data WITHOUT confidential information (10-20 rows, not thousands...)..."

A user would only like to copy: "Post a small Excel sheet"
He can't be able to delete or change, just copy. I don't know which part of text the user would like to copy, it could be any part of text within a cell.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Shanaya2009, welcome.
You can pick up cell data with VBA code input box.
If you are familiar with Excel, open VBA editor, insert new standard module, paste this code in.
Open developer tab and create button that run this code.
When input box pop up, copy wanted part of text as usually.
Try this...
VBA Code:
Sub CopyProtectedText()

    Dim vInput As String

    vInput = InputBox("Edit your text", "Range editing", Range("A1"))
    MsgBox vInput

End Sub
