Copying an Excel Chart to paste into Powerpoint

I have an Excel file with quite a large chart and my boss wants to paste the chart into Powerpoint for presentations. When he attempts to copy the graph, the barchart pastes in less the data (ie the frame and title pastes but no bars). When I attempt it on my computer it seems to paste in OK. I am simply selecting the "picture" of the graph in Excel, copying and pasting it in. Does anyone have any ideas why it does not work on the first computer? Maybe there is a better way of putting an Excel chart in Powerpoint?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Hey Mark,

Try having a mess about with Edit - Paste special rather than the normal paste. Using that, you have a number of different formats to paste as. Rather than me trying to tell you which is best, just have a mess about with them yourself.

Let me know how u get on !

fwiw, the technique I use is as follows:

1) hold down the shift key & select the edit menu
2) go to the new 'copy picture' option & take it from there
