Is it possible to copy a column of data for example x1, x2, x3 all is different cells and I then want to paste them in another column but at interval that is three cells apart. So I woul have x1 then three blank spaces, then x2...etc. Thanks.

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
Let's say your data list is in column A and you want to copy it to column F :

- Copy column A and paste to column F
- In column G (insert a blank column, if necessary), put sequential numbers down to the last data row
- Copy the sequential numbers and paste immediately below in column G three times.
- Select columns F:G and sort by column G
- Delete column G
