Could someone please help with creating some VBA code to create a comment in a cell depending on a value of a cell in another sheet?

Hi all,

New member here so apologies if this has been answered already, but I believe it is a pretty niche request. I've seen videos and articles relating to automatically creating comments based on other cells, but I need this to work based on an indexing in another sheet.

I've attached a link to an example spreadsheet which should hopefully explain what I'm looking to achieve. To give a bit of background, I've created a way of inputting individual 'builds' in the 'Jobs' sheet and they should then appear on the 'Gantt' sheet next to that Designer's name. What I'd ideally like to see is the contents of the corresponding cell in column D on 'Jobs' appear as a comment in the last relevant cell on the 'Gantt' chart.

I'm completely green when it comes to coding, so would appreciate any help with this. Hopefully it's not too difficult, but if it is, I hope it comes as a welcome challenge to someone!

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
Hi TDotHanny,

Welcome to the MrExcel Forum. You may want to post your spreadsheet to a file sharing site such as DropBox or something similar. The way I see it, your biggest challenge would be getting someone to click on a shortened URL from the first post of a new member (I clearly would not). Good luck.

Hi igold,

Fair point, thank you! Didn't think of that! Would it help if I simply put the full wetransfer URL, or would I have to use Dropbox?
