I'm trying to count the number of days since a document was submitted.

I'm currently using the NOW function which returns the number of calendar days. How can I amend this formula to return only the work days passed.

Also I notice something a little bit strange with the NOW function, it counts both the day raised and today, for instance counting number of days from 21st June returns 9 days when we're only on 29th. I would only really expect to see 8, but perhaps this is a matter of personal taste :-)

Thanks in advance for your help.

How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
Thanks a lot for your incredibly fast reply! The TODAY function instead of NOW works just as I would prefer it for the number of days so one issue solved. However the whole formula you suggested returns an error... I tried adding a - instead of the , but still in error.

If it returns a #NAME error you need to go to Tools > Add-Ins, tick Analysis Toolpak and click OK.
