Hi Folks.

Starting in cell I3 I'm simply trying to count the cells with values until I reach the first blank cell. But for some reason it returns the count from I1 to the first blank cell. I have no idea why...

VBA Code:
nDays = Range("I3").End(xlDown).Row

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Hi.
What you're showing doesn't do anything "even close" to what you're looking for.
Try with:

VBA Code:
nDays = Range("I3", [i3].End(xlDown)).Count

Solution
How about
VBA Code:
nDays = Range("I3").End(xlDown).Row-2

How about
VBA Code:
nDays = Range("I3").End(xlDown).Row-2
It's funny, that's what I came up with but I wanted it to be cleaner and didn't see any reason why my other code didn't work properly. Now I know :)

Glad we could help & thanks for the feedback.

Personally I think that is a "cleaner" way of doing it than creating a range & then counting the number of cells.
However both will fail if I4 is blank

How about
VBA Code:
If Range("I4") = "" Then
   nDays = 1
Else
   nDays = Range("I3").End(xlDown).Row - 2
End If

Ya know. I was moving along so nicely in my coding today then I had to take a vendor on a tour of our facility for about 40 minutes and my brain was mush after that.
This is perfect, thank you for doing my thinking for me this afternoon, lol!
