COUNT IF MULTIPLE CRITERIA

Does anyone know how to count if with multiple criteria. IF Column A says start and Column B says Today, how do I get a count of employees in column C. I would only count the employees that have "Start" in A and "Today" in B. Thanks

SUMPRODUCT(--(A1:A600="Start"),--(B1:B600="Today"),C1:C600)

Adjust ranges accordingly.
