Hi, I have a column that combines month and day i.e JulyMonday, I need to Sumif this column but to only grab the month name based on another column that has the criteria of the month.

=IF(BQ5=0,"",SUMIF($A$60:$A$501,D5,$BQ$60:$BQ$486)/SUMIF($A$60:$A$501,D5,$BP$60:$BP$486))

A is MonthDay combo
D5 is the Month July

Some how it would need to look for the month name and sumif from the MonthDay combo based on D5. I don't want to make another column just for the month...

Make sense?

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.

Replace D5 with D5&"*" in your formulas.
