COUNTIF and OR

Hi there,

My first post, so should be an easy one -

I have 2 columns. column 1 is names, column 2 are initials.

Formula for to count if "DAVID" in row 1, and if row 2 = "JT" OR "ST".

I hope that makes sense!

If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
That works great, thanks. What does the { } do to make it = "OR"? I assuming that is the function of the brackets?

What you have inbetween { } is an array constant.

Think of it as a range of cells in this case E.g. C1:D1 only hard coded into the formula.
