Countifs query

hi im trying to use a countifs query to count up how many dates fall within each period date (period dates are all in row 1
the example below is looking at the source data in column a and trying to calculate how many dates in this range fall between the period dates in N1 and O1


=COUNTIFS($O$37:$O$80,=>N1,$O$37:$O$80,<=O1)

However its not accepting it as a formula

any help appreciated

You need to put the comparators in quotes like
Excel Formula:
=COUNTIFS($O$37:$O$80,">="&N1,$O$37:$O$80,"<="&O1)
