I'm trying to figure out how many time a number shows up in column AJ during a specific date range of 1/1/2021 and Today's date. Here's my formula below:

=COUNTIFS(AJ:AJ,AJ3,G3,"<1/1/2021",G3,">"&TODAY())

I'm getting error #VALUE!

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Swap the < & > round, you cannot have a date that is less then 1st Jan & greater than today.

Swap the < & > round, you cannot have a date that is less then 1st Jan & greater than today.
Thank you Fluff, with that switch I'm still getting the same error.

Changed formula: =COUNTIFS(AJ:AJ,AJ2,G2,">1/1/2021",G2,"<"&TODAY())

Missed that you are only looking at G2, you need to look at the whole of col G
Excel Formula:
=COUNTIFS(AJ:AJ,AJ2,G:G,">1/1/2021",G:G,"<"&TODAY())
