I am needing a little help with something that is probably pretty basic. I need to know how many cells have a value based on a range of dates
Date value after date1/3/161/10/161/17/161/24/161/31/162/7/162/14/162/21/162/28/163/6/16
1/22/1631216823
2/16/16265832

Looking at the table above I need the values to show up in red. I need to search the date range A3:A12 and count the cells in row B that have values above the date in B1

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
How's this?

Excel 2010
ABCDEFGHIJKL
1Datevalue after date1/3/20161/10/20161/17/20161/24/20161/31/20162/7/20162/14/20162/21/20162/28/20163/6/2016
21/22/201631216823
32/16/2016265832
Sheet1
Cell Formulas
RangeFormula
B2=SUMPRODUCT(($C$1:$L$1>A2)*(C2:L2<>""))
