I am trying to the frequency of words in one range, but excluding text that is tied to duplicates from another range. I have tried to look up other threads and figure this out, but I'm completely lost (and very much in over my head). Here is the example.

So, in this example, I want to count the frequency of the clubs (Columns D, E, and F) but I don't want the rows that are the same person counted. So, I would like Row 31 counted, but not Row 32. If duplicate students are counted, the results for how many people are in each club will be inflated.

So, the goal is to have an formal to count how many people represented from each club.

Thank you SO much for any help.

Welcome, but do you want to count e.g rows 35 and 36 as diferent?

Thanks for the welcome!

Newbie mistake! The clubs for duplicate student entries should be the same. So, rows 35 and 36 should be identical. Here is what it should have looked like:

Thank you so much for the quick reply!

And to be super clear, here is the result I'm hoping for:

Spanish Club - 2
Underground Club - 1
None - 2
Vocals Club - 2
Community Outreach - 2
Dance - 2
Band - 1
Government - 1
