I have 2 columns in a spreadsheet column B with individual towns and column C with a revenue value added.

I need a formula to count the revenue per individual town in column D

thanks

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.

I am guessing that your towns repeat themselves in Column B, so unless you want Column D to have the totals repeated next to each town in the list, you will need to use Columns D and E... in Column D would be listed each town only once and in Column E would be the total revenue for that town. Do you have such a list of the unique town names or will you need formulas to figure that list out for you?
