Is there a way to create a pop-up message when my file opens after a set date?

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
Put this in your ThisWorkbook code module and then Save the workbook as a Macro Enabled workbook to preserve the code.

Code:
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
If Date > #12/6/2016# Then
    Beep
    MsgBox "Past Target Date"
End If
End Sub

Change the date between the # symbol to suit your purposes.
