Hey guys,

I have been looking at a way to find how to create blank rows in between series of letters, without luck. Here is an example:
A
B
C
C
C
D
D
E
E
E
E
E
E
E
F
F
F

So basically, I would like to split the table so that I have a blank space after each series of letters, A B C D E..... The order of the letters are totally random so I can't just split the tables each 1 or 2 rows.

Anyone have an idea that would work for this?

Thanks!!

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
Hi, Loopholes,

Welcome!

Are you looking for how to do this manually? If yes, right-click on the row header (left side...1, 2, 3, etc.) where you would like to insert a row and click on Insert from the popup menu.

If you are looking for a different method, let us know what you need.

Hope that helps,

Doug

Hello duggie33,

I am looking at a way of doing it automatically. I have to insert some times 30 rows in between a total of 130 let's say, always at the end of the letter series (end of A, B, C).

In B1, write 1. In B2, write =B1+2 and fill down. If you have 130 rows, then the last row in B will be 261. Then in B262, write 2, and in B263 write B261+2. Fill down until you reach 260. Then overwrite the formulas with the values, and sort the two columns by column B.
