I'm working on a chart trying to show if revenue is linked to network size/ratings. The chart has 4 columns:

Year-Revenue-Rating-Size

What I'd ideally like to do is have a chart where we see the dollars in a bar graph, and have the ratings and size as lines.

Is this possible?

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Hi welcome to MrExcel,

What version of Excel are you using?

If I understand you correctly try this...
In 2007 create a standard bar chart, then right click on the Rating column, click on Change Series Chart Type and select the type of Line chart you want, repeat for the Size column.

I hope that solves it for you.

Good luck.

That definitely helped a lot ... here's my other issue:

They're not all on the same number scale... anyway to work around this?

Ex... revenue is in dollars (expressed here in tens of thousands)

Ratings is in it's own figure (expressed as a 2 digit number)

Size is on it's own scale (expressed in tens of thousands)

Anyway to adjust the ratings and size so that they're not being plotted against the revenue dollars scale?

**never mind, I put the ratings on a secondary axis- it looks much better!**
