I'm trying to create a Taylor Diagram using excel and I'm looking to see if someone knows where I can obtain a template and/or instructions on how to do it.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Rick,

I am trying to plot the Taylor diagram with your provided excel sheet, but I am unable to change the plot with incorporating my stats data. Since I don't the steps to plot the diagram in excel, it is also because I couldn't get the procedure what you have mentioned here.

I have shared the link of my data file, could you please let me know how to get the diagram for each climate factor or help me plotting this?

Thanks,
RJ

Hi RJ,

I am not sure what problem exactly you are having because it seemed to work for me.

I went to www.RickXL.com and clicked on the download link and saved the spreadsheet.
Then I overtyped the data with this:
Capture.JPG

I then clicked on the "Draw" button in the "Taylor Diagram" part of the main menu ...
Capture1.JPG

And I got this diagram displayed:
Capture2.JPG

Which part did not work for you?

Which part did not work for you?
The reason is your correlation value is very low.

OK, but if you feed in Correlation Values of between 0.13 and 0.18 then your Correlation Values will be very low! What can I say?

If you plot your data for Tmin which has Correlation Values of around 0.92 - 0.93 then they will be higher.
