Hi!

Wonder if anyone can help me. We use Excel 2003 on a networked system.

When I want to add text to a drawing object, the cursor changes from the "cross" to the "I-beam" when I hover it over the drawing object.

When I click on the object, I can add text but the line cursor is invisible - this creates some difficulties when then trying to edit the text. You can highlight areas of the text, etc, but placing the insertion point of the cursor is a bit iffy.

Other users of the system don't have this problem - the black text cursor is quite visible in objects. I don't have this problem either when using drawing objects in other applications such as Word or Powerpoint.

There must be something awry in my personal Excel setup or profile, but I certainly can't see anything obvious under Tool Options for example.

I'd be grateful for any ideas.

Thanks

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
