Custom date format

I have cells with mmmm.yyyy format (e.g. january.2005). Enyone knows if it is possible to get results in cappital letters (JANUARY.2005)?

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Sort by date Sort by votes
I think you need a formula for it because its not possible with data validation or notation.

You can do something like this:

=UPPER(TEXT(B18,"MMMM.YYYY"))

Which you give the result you're looking for.
