Data migration using vlookup is not working

Hi friends,


I need to migrate matching data from one file to another file, since i have more than 6000 datas to migrate, i need a formulae to facilitate my process,


so i tried the vlookup formula,


=VLOOKUP(A2,'[SAMPLE 1.xlsx]Sheet1'!$B$2:$B$10,2,FALSE)


Its not working:(






Please suggest me the best possible solution

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
Your formula is not correct: The data (table) where you are looking consists of just one column while you are trying to return the second column.

Hi Mr.Aladin,

Thanks for your comment, i don't understand what i need to change in the formula

I don't know how to rectify the incorrect formula, pls suggest
