Hi There,
I am designing a form in Excel (2003) on which users need to select a value from a dropdown list (complicated options & spelling, so we do not want users to type their answers). I have activated the STOP Error Message for Data Validation but ran into the following problem:
When a user enters invalid data, the error message is displayed but when the RETRY button is clicked Excel does not allow the user to select from the drop down list (which to me would be the logical thing to do). If the user clicks CANCEL the invalid entry is removed and they can select from the drop down list again.
Any ideas why this is happening? Am I missing something or is this just the way Excel handles a situation like this?
Please help!
