Hello,
I'm not sure if my title is accurate, so, what I am trying to do is similar to assigning a relationship of one entry to another. I'm using a DataVal drop down list and would like when a certain item is entered into cell A2, the DataVal in B2 will remember the association (which that is set up somewhere) and populate B2 with the "favorite", then C2 also based on a predetermined association.

What is this called and how do I set it up?

thanks.

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
It sounds like you might want to use a VLOOKUP formula.
You would set up the table of "associations", and then return the value in column B based on what is entered in column A.

See here for examples and details: MS Excel: How to use the VLOOKUP Function (WS)
