I have data entry validations set for some merged cells. However, when I click the "Circle Invalid Data", it circles the merged cell and all individual cells.

Is there any way to circle only the merged cell and not the individual cells with it?

Thanks in advance!!! :)

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
Do you mean it circles each cell that are part of the merge individually?

Or does it circle the whole merge 'area'?

eg if you have merged A1:C3 and there's invalid entry you get an oval stretching across all 3 columns
