Hi,
I have some date input issues in EXCEL.
When I type in Jun 6, for date. EXCEL takes it as 01-Jun-2006, rather than taking it as 06-Jun-2014.

How can I have this issue resolved?. Pls Help.

Thanks in advance.

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.

why dont I get it with 'jun 6', in the very adjacent system, I am getting the results with 'Jun 6' itself.

Type "6 jun" rather than "jun 6"...
Does that actually work for you? When I try it on my XL2010 worksheet, I get the same date for both types of entry, namely, 6/6/2014 (which I note is not what the OP gets). I don't have an answer for this, just my observation.

Yeah, it works for me in Excel 2010. But my PC is set to UK regional formats (i.e. dd/mm/yyyy) so I don't know if that is the reason...

it iis set at English (United States)......

If you're from the US, I would suggest leaving it as it is so that you don't affect anything else on your PC.

Otherwise, change it to whichever country you're from. It could sort out your date issue in Excel...
