Date sort

Hello

We ran a report at work and the date came, mm/dd/yyyy. I have reformatted for a custom format, however it won't sort including the year unless I double click on each cell which moves the information to the right hand side. (right now it sorts mm/dd) I can't duplicate this unless I am using the original numbers (info) they sent me. Is there any way to fix this. (a special paste to reformat the dates they gave???)

Many thanks in advance,
norm

Select your values, choose the Data | Text to Columns... menu command and press [ Finish ].
