I have a workbook tracking account applications.

Column U (Status) has a drop down list showing the status - two of which are 'Completed Opened' and 'Completed Declined'. Column W (Date Completed) obviously captures the completed date - out of a) pure laziness and b) pure forgetfulness ;) I would like column W to be automatically completed with the current date when either 'Completed OPened' or 'Completed Declined' are chosen in U.

I would rather use VBA to complete this but am a bit stumped.

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
If Target.Count > 1 Then Exit Sub
If Target.Column <> 21 Then Exit Sub
Select Case Target
    Case "Completed Opened", "Completed Declined"
         Cells(Target.Row, "W") = Date
    Case Else: Cells(Target.Row, "W") = ""
End Select
End Sub
