Date Switch Code - Mail Merge

I can't seem to get the date switch code to work, so I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Below are some screen shots of what I have in Word, the results and the Raw data being pulled. Can anyone help me so that the Expired Date reflects as a MM/DD/YYYY and not the day number
