I have a spreadsheet that contains a column of date/time. In that column there are several entries for the same date. I am trying to count the number of 'same' days that occured in a month. Any suggestions at all?????

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().

So if 2/15 appeared four times and 2/16 appeared three times, is the answer two or seven?

Does "yes" mean the answer is two or seven?

If the values are just dates (no times),

=SUMPRODUCT(--(FREQUENCY(A1:A10, A1:A10)>1))

SHG
I learn from reading the problems from other people and try to figure out what was done. If they had wanted all the dates to be counted 3 2/15 and 2 2/16 would count as 5. Would they have used the "COUNTIF" function?

Trying to learn this better so i dont have to bother you folks. VBA is my next adventure. (oh Boy).
