DATEDIF is a native function in Excel, it's not documented but it's definitely there.

Just to tack onto what Dave said, its not in Help (except for 2000 I think?), but you can read the args here: http://www.cpearson.com/excel/datedif.aspx

You don't have to create it - it is built-in. Have you actually tried to enter those formulas?
