Days past calculation

Does Excel have the capabilities to calculate the days past between two dates?

For example: 07/01/00 08/31/00
Both formated as "date"

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
just FYI:

with dates in B1 & A1, and

=B1-A1

in C1, excel will automatically format C1 as a date ('cos it's being smart & is noticing that you're doing calculations on dates...). Although this can be fixed subsequently formatting the cell as a number, it can be avoided altogether if you use:

=(B1-A1)

instead.
