Hi,

I've notcied that when I'm putting decimals on my spreadsheet (using the decimal key on my keyboard - right section) it shows dashes instead of decimals. And if I tried to use the decimal key (beside question mark), it shows as decimals but considered as text and not number. Can you please help me on how to fix this?

Thanks so much in advance.

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
Computer -> Window.

That seems a bit rash.

In Excel 2007, in Excel Options, Click on Advanced, and under Editing Options, check Use System Separators.

In prior versions it's on one of the tabs under Tools, Options.

@Glory - Oh I'm sorry, I was so eager to tell people here what's going on with my freaking Excel that I forgot the version huh? But thanks for giving time to read my post ;)

@Hotpepper - thanks so much for your understanding. You're so nice giving steps for different versions. By the way, I'm using 2007. I'm not in my office right now so I will try it tomorrow as soon as I get there. I'll let you know the outcome.

Thanks to yo both :)
