delete excel data using macro

If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.

try getting some result/code with the MacroRecorder and then to adjust the result to your needs.
in general : Range("A1").ClearContents
but it depends a bit on what you want to achieve
