this is a really basic question so apologies.

when moving between sheets the cursor selects a cell (usually A1)... is there some way to stop is auto-selecting a cell so that nothing is highlighted? I'm running Excel 2007

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
Not that I know of. It usually selects cell A1, or whatever the last cell selected on that sheet was.

You could add VBA code to have it always select a specific cell, but I don't think it is necessary to have an Excel sheet up and no cell selected at all.
