I have a workbook(master) that must be accessed and edited by a number of users.
They each have a single worksheet from the master together with a form that allows them to enter data . The workbook (Master) is held on a server.
When they modify their sheet I have code that opens the master, modifies the relevant cells and closes the master again.
I need to detect when/if the workbook is open by another user ( so changes cannot be made) and retry the save until sucessfull, the actual time that any user has the master open is only a second or two.
I am a beginnner at the VBA battle so any help would be gratefully received.
