I want to be able to subtract 5:30pm from 9am to get 8.5 hours so I can multiply the 8.5 hrs by hourly wage (i.e. $10.00/hr) to get $85.00/day. By doing simple cell subtraction, the 8.5 hr difference is displayed as either 8:30 or 0.44. How does one get a difference of 8.5 instead of 8:30?

Many thanks!

Jack
