This seems like an easy question, but I've looked around in Cell Formating, Excel help, and this board and have yet to find my answer. I hope someone here can help.

I am trying to list songs with their times in an Excel spreadsheet. When I'm done, I want to be able to add all the times up to see how many hours of music I've got. All songs are in a mm:ss format, but no matter how I format the time cells, they are showing up as AM or PM in the formula bar. Thanks in advance.

I don't think there's any way around that as far as time displayed in the Formula bar. Excel treats time as fractions of a day. One work around would be to format the cells as text, before entering the length of the song. To add the length of the songs,

=SUMPRODUCT(--(A1:A100))

and custom format the cell that houses the formula as

[h]:mm:ss
