# #DIV/0! error help

How can I get the cell to be blank rather than show this error? My formula in the cell is: =AVERAGE(D6:D18)

This is used in a calendar type application and obviously, for the months that haven't occured yet there will be "errors". I'd rather not have this error all over my sheet. Thanks!!!

### Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.

Explain a bit more - when months are 'incomplete' do you still wish an average?

Jon, no average is needed if the months are incomplete. I just was hoping to clean up the "results" for months that haven't happened yet. What this is used for is there is a feed from a database which pulls in stats for employees (D6:D18). I then average the stats to get an average for each unit. Like I said, the error occurs for each month that has yet to occur.

Maybe

=IF(COUNT(D6:D18)=13,AVERAGE(D6:D18),""))

Then BfM's got you covered - Howdy, Brian - been teeing it up lately?
