hi again. simply can't get my tired brain aroud this one.

I want to hide my #div/0's. such that if the result of the formula in a particular cell is going to return an error, give me "" instead or even "-".

I've done this before with something of a If(n(.... but I can't recall what it was.

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).

Depends on the formula you want to setup... Generically:

=IF(N(Y2),X2/Y2,"")

If Y2 might house an error value...

=IF(ISNUMBER(Y2),IF(N(Y2),X2/Y2,""),"")
