Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.

maybe record a new macro, but make the first step to pen a new workbook, then do a saveAs for the new workbook, then stop recording the macro
that way one workbook is the "driving" program that creates and saves the "data" workbook
