I am having a drop down box in A2 with a lot of choices to choose from. Is it possible that when I for ex type "App" it will automatically take me to the nearest match in the drop down box
A Combo Box from the Control Toolbox has that functionality. You just need to set the list fill range to match your data validation range, either directly or a named range.
