Hello Everyone,
I cant seem to figure out how to code out my button so that there are no duplicates. I have a button that is a save and submit button. It is Tag.1401. I want to figure out how to add a A at the end of the tag number when they try to submit that tag number again.
Here is my code below.
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()

Dim TagIdCap As String

'Call Print Function Here

'Once Print Function added above this calls the Tag Id Update
TagIdCap = Trim(Right(CommandButton1.Caption, Len(CommandButton1.Caption) - InStr(CommandButton1.Caption, ". ")))
[TagIDNo] = NextTagId(TagIdCap)
Me.CommandButton1.Caption = "TAG NO. " & [TagIDNo]

End Sub

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.

This is my next line.
Private Function NextTagId(ByVal CurrentTagIdCaption As String) As String

NextTagId = CStr(CLng(CurrentTagIdCaption) + 1)

End Function
