Dynamically highlight 2 points on a graph...

Hi,

I have a graph with 2 line series. I would like to highlight in some way 1 data point on each line, either a circle or a change in font colour of the data label.

Which 2 are highlighted depend on the result of 2 formula cells which can changes when I change the inputs for them...

So if the data for 1 series is 1,2,3,4,5,6 and the other is 7,8,9,10,11,12 and the result of the formula in cell A1 is 2 and the result of cell A2 is 10 I want 2 and 10 to highlight in my graph...

The result of A1 and A2 will change and I want the graph's highlighting to change accordingly.

Is this possible?

This is one way:

Say you have, in A1:A6, the series 1,2,3,4,5,6, in A7:A12 the series 1,2,3,4,5,6, both series being identical and will be the x-values for the next two series.

In B1:B6, you have the first series, which, per your example, is 1,2,3,4,5,6, and, in B7:B12, you have the second series, 7,8,9,10,11,12.

In D1, you put the first formula, which gives, say, 3
In C1, enter: =IF(D$1=B$1:B$6,0.5,0.1), and copy down to row 6.

In D2, you put the second formula, which gives, say, 10
In C7, enter: =IF(D$2=B$7:B$12,0.5,0.1), and copy down to row 12.

Now, choose a bubble chart. Let us know if this does it for you.
