hi,
i have an excel sheet ,in which all the cells of a column must of be equal length .so that, when i save this excel sheet as .txt file all the text in each cell of a column must be properly aligned..
so pls some one help me by quoting some sample code to make length of each cell of a column equal(equal width)

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
I'm not sure I understand your question. Save for merged cells, aren't all of the cells in a column always the same width? Or, if you mean that you want the width of the column to be wide enough to accomodate the longest cell's contents (without wordwrap), how about autofitting the column width (select the column and go to format --> column --> autofit selection)?

Or you could highlight the columns right click and select column width and choose your own width.
