Error Matching Date

dt_ref_rw = Application.WorksheetFunction.Match(sosdt, ws_master.Columns(1), 0)

This match code isn't finding the match, instead it's giving me an error ... "Unable to get the match property of the WorksheetFunction Class"

sosdt is declared as a date and in my testing = 2020-05-13
worksheet ws_master, column A holds all dates between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020. Although formatted as dd-mmm, the values are true dates. May 13, 2020 is at row 150.

Try declaring sosdt as Double instead of Date.
