Error Message "Cannot access read only file"

I use WIN 98se and Office 2000

The file in question was created a couple of days ago from a custom template I have copied from hundreds of times without a problem.

I particularly would like to open this file.....

I have been through the MS knowledge base, but no suggestion has worked.

Any thoughts?
